The Book Gallery is rapidly becoming one of the legendary Book Stores of Canada. It began in February, 1991.
The owner, Grant Purdy, wanted to make a Used Book Store which had something for everyone, and specialized in books for people who wanted to read. He succeeded!
Carleton Place, home of the Ballygiblein Riots in 1850, Findley Stoves, and Roy Brown who shot down the Red Baron (sorry Snoopy), is 40 km. SW of Ottawa on Hwy #7.
It's also the largest town on the Mississippi.... The Canadian and Original Mississippi River that is! We invite you to come visit, or call and ask our staff, reputed to be the nicest anywhere, for help.
If you do come to browse, remember, the record for browsing is...8 hours!
